The legal predecessors of University of Sopron have a long history with the oldest one dating back to 1735. Located beside the Austrian border, in the “Most Loyal City” of Hungary, it provides excellent education at four faculties specialising in forestry, wood technology, pedagogy and economics.
Our academic offer includes programmes in three languages: Hungarian, English and German. Due to low student-to-teacher ratios, our students have the advantage of personalized approach to learning. The university provides all first-year students placement in one of its comfortable dormitories.
The campus is located in a nature conservation area, the Botanical Garden, which also serves instructional purposes with its collection of living plants.
