Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship for the 2019/2020 academic year

The Board of Trustees made the decision regarding the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship holders for the 2019/2020 academic year.

We would like to summarize the next steps applicants can expect in the upcoming weeks:

Conditional scholarship awarded
Please upload the missing documents as soon as possible. The final deadline is 1st August.
The universities check regularly your uploaded documents and if your documents are approved by the university, your status will change to “Missing documents approved”

Missing documents approved status
Please note that you can expect Tempus Public Foundation to contact you soon about your official application result.

Scholarship holder
If you are a scholarship holder, we would like to kindly remind you to accept the scholarship within 2 weeks.

Letter of Acceptance, Letter of Award
If you have received the Letter of Acceptance from the host institution and the Letter of Award from Tempus Public Foundation, please start the visa application process right away – within two weeks the latest!

Waitlisted status
You can only be approved for the scholarship if a scholarship holder (who is in the ranking order before you) withdraws his/her scholarship. In case of withdrawal happens, applicants from the reserve list can be chosen – taking the financial aspects and the capacities of the host institutions into consideration.

If you did not receive a Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship for the 2019/2020 academic year, then we would like to encourage you to try and apply for the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship programme again next year.

Applicants who were interested in studying in Hungary but were not awarded a Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship are still very welcomed to start their academic studies in Hungary on a tuition fee paying basis; we would recommend them to visit studyinhungary.hu and browse our Study Finder http://studyinhungary.hu/study-in-hungary/menu/find-a-study-programme/study-finder.html.
