Pop Up Hungary in China Came to a Successfull End

Study in Hungary – Pop Up Hungary roadshow has come to an end and it developed the Chinese-Hungarian higher education ties in many ways.

The Hungarian delegation started its Shanghai program at the Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai. The Chinese-Hungarian higher education forum, organized by Lívia Szentmártoni, Consul for Culture and Edutation provided an excellent opportunity to present the Hungarian higher education system as well as the wide range of opporturnities offered by the higher education institutions to the Chinese partners. The delegation stressed the importance of Hudec Programme (a part of Stipendium Hungaricum Programme) which ensures scholarships dedicated to Chinese talents from East China Normal University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Tongji University.

After the forum the members of the delegation were hosted by the representatives of East China Normal University and Shanghaj Jiao Tong University to discuss possibilities within and beyond Hudec Programme. Both universities were interested in further future cooperations in the field of mobility, study and research programmes.

East China Normal University also organized a meet up where a Chinese student held presentation about her study year in Hungary. The participating students also met the members of the Hungarian delegation afterwards.

On the 3rd day of the Shanghai tour the delegation took part in B2B meetings with Chinese higher education institutions to develop professional ties. As a special guest of the event (organized by CSCSE - Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange), the Hungarian delegation gave a presentation as well.

The 10-day-long tour ended with an education fair in Shanghai  - organized by CIEET (China International Education Exhibition Tour)  - where the Hungarian stand – with the special help of Lívia Szentmártoni - attracted many students, parents and representatives of the Chinese higher education.
