We are participating in EAIE conference!

The EAIE (European Association for International Education) annual educational conference and exhibition will be held in Geneva between 11-14 September 2018. Tempus Public Foundation (TPF) with the representatives of Hungarian Rectors’ Conference and 13 higher education institutions are attending the EAIE this week.

It is the 6th time TPF joining the event; this year visitors and partners can find Study in Hungary delegation at booth G33.

EAIE dedicates all its work to bringing experts and educators together from all around the world and organize trainings, conferences for all individuals who engaged in internationalisation of higher education. EAIE community inspires professionals by providing a platform to share best practices on internationalisation. Cooperation in Central European higher education has been notable recently; which makes it important for institutions and organizations from all regions to take steps.

Initiated by the Centre for International Cooperation in Education, Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange and Tempus Public Foundation, professional cooperation among the Czech, Polish and Hungarian higher education will be markable at the EAIE as well. Previously, a Central European reception was organized at EAIE in 2014 in Prague. This year, the Meet Priority Countries at the EAIE 2018: Networking Reception of the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland event will take place on 12th September, at Palexpo in Geneva, where the organizer countries are welcoming their partners.

The EAIE educational organization elected Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic as priority countries for the year of 2017-2018. The organization’s aim is to involve the countries’ experts and educational professionals in the work done by the EAIE focusing on the European higher education cooperations.

The joint reception is also supported by the EAIE. Markus Laitinen, president of the EAIE highlighted the importance of equally represented countries and regions in European higher education:

„The EAIE takes its European mission very seriously. I should emphasise that it stands for the whole of Europe; unless we have good balance in representation of participants and members from all parts of Europe, I think we would have failed. And I don’t want the EAIE to fail. For me, having a good European representation is a win-win situation and would benefit European International Higher Education tremendously.” You can read the whole interview here if you are interested.

The three countries are even organizing a fun joint-game for the EAIE 2018 Exhibition audience. Visitors can join the game by visiting the national booths and filling out a questionnaire about Hungarian, Polish and the Czech higher education. On each conference day 30 awards will be handed out.

This year, Switzerland will provide the venue for the 30th EAIE Exhibiton, where thousands of international educators and higher education delegates will be expected from all over the world. TPF has been participating on the EAIE annual conference since 2013, and supports the successful appearance of the Hungarian higher education and the partnership building of the Hungarian universities.
